Lauren's passion for the hospitality industry is to bring joy and create unforgettable experiences. Growing up, she found happiness by taking the stress and responsibilites away from her friends and family by planning events for them. All they had to do was enjoy the final product. She loves the opportunity of every event being different. New challenges and thrills to tackle and finess into a memorable experience... stress, challenges, thrills, tackling? You would almost think Lauren was an athlete...oh, and she was!
She played volleyball for 13 years and recieved a fullride scholarship to play volleyball at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Lauren was a two-time All American, named All Tournament in 2012 & 2014 in the Premier Tournament (an elite tournament with the top teams from Division Two) and led her team to the RMAC Tournament Championship in 2013. She graduated May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality, concentration in Events Management. Although she loves the athletic world, her passion is shared equally with all aspects of Hospitality.
During her four years at MSU Denver, she volunteered for and worked a variety of events. She was part of the Roadrunners Athletic Scholarship Dinner & Auction at MSU Denver. She worked for Gatorade at Colorado Crossroads (CC), a competitive volleyball tournament where girls all over the U.S. from 12-18 years of age compete to win a bid to Nationals. Her senior year she planned and created IntertWine Expedition and HTE 8th Annual Golf Tournament. Lauren has also volunteered at Food for Thought in Denver.
Having moved from Denver back home to sunny San Diego, the Andrew Spurgin™ team has brought her under their collective wing and helped bring her school studies to life.
